The Dark Christmas umbrella event: the Krampus March, the Krampus Art Show, Kocktails with Krampus and Kakes with Krampus.
Krampus Con is Krush Brau Park's Dark Christmas season at the Portal Immersion Center. It opens on Saturday, December 5, 2026: Kakes with Krampus (Krampus Brunch) starts at 10am, the free Krampus Nacht Kickoff and Krampus Art Show opening run 5 to 6pm (all ages), the Official Krampus March is at 6pm, the Krampus Nacht concert with Medal Militia starts at 7pm (doors 6pm), and the Krampus Haunted Trail runs at 7, 8 and 9pm (concert ticket holders can ride the 9pm trail). The kickoff includes the Krampus March and the Krampus Art Show, celebrating local artists' dark and whimsical interpretations of Alpine folklore. Through the season, Kocktails with Krampus (21+, Fri – Sun Dec 5 – 27; Fri/Sat 7 – 9:30pm, Sun 5 – 7pm) serves two specialty cocktails or mocktails in the outdoor Krampus Lair, and Kakes with Krampus (all ages, Saturdays and Sundays, December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27, 2026, hourly slots from 10am) offers a festive pancake brunch and photos with Krampus. Tickets for each are on Eventbrite. Artists who want to exhibit should apply through the vendor form. Krampus Con hours: the park opens at 10am and closes at midnight Friday and Saturday and 10pm Sunday; closed Christmas Day. Krampus himself appears during Kocktails and Kakes.

Is the kickoff free?
Yes. The Krampus Nacht Kickoff and Art Show opening on December 5 (5 to 6pm, followed by the Official Krampus March at 6pm) is free with an Eventbrite ticket. Kakes with Krampus starts at 10am.

Who is Krampus?
Krampus is a figure from European folklore who is said to punish children who have misbehaved during the Christmas season. He is typically portrayed as a demonic-looking creature, often with horns, hooves, and a long, pointed tongue. According to tradition, Krampus accompanies St. Nicholas on his journey to deliver gifts to children, but instead of giving gifts to well-behaved children, Krampus punishes the naughty ones by beating them with branches or dragging them away to his lair.
Some people believe that the legend of Krampus originated as a way to keep children in line during the Christmas season, while others think it may have its roots in pre-Christian pagan traditions. In recent years, Krampus has become a popular cultural figure, and can be seen in many holiday decorations, movies, and books.
