Krampus Con 2023

Krampus is a figure from European folklore who is said to punish children who have misbehaved during the Christmas season. He is typically portrayed as a demonic-looking creature, often with horns, hooves, and a long, pointed tongue. According to tradition, Krampus accompanies St. Nicholas on his journey to deliver gifts to children, but instead of giving gifts to well-behaved children, Krampus punishes the naughty ones by beating them with branches or dragging them away to his lair. 

Some people believe that the legend of Krampus originated as a way to keep children in line during the Christmas season, while others think it may have its roots in pre-Christian pagan traditions. In recent years, Krampus has become a popular cultural figure, and can be seen in many holiday decorations, movies, and books.
